I’m a fourteen-year-old girl who tends to be more cynical than most people my age. I love writing, that’s a passion of mine. I don’t consider myself to be very pretty, and I do have a lot of friends, but not a best friend. I am very outgoing, but I have trouble with intimacy. I’ve got a lot of strong opinions and a short temper, but I normally manage to control myself. I am Catholic and a conservative, so don’t try to talk about stupid nonexistent crap like global warming (ahem, it’s climate change now, sorry) and evolution. I believe in natural selection, but humans did not evolve from monkeys.

On a lighter note, I enjoy music, particularly classic rock (Styx, Journey, etc.) and some other random stuff, including Within Temptation, Linkin Park, Paramore, and Evanescence. I like television shows, particularly The Office, Everybody Loves Raymond, Seinfeld, NCIS, and America’s Next Top Model. I also enjoy anime and manga, including Naruto, Fullmetal Alchemist, High School of the Dead, and Boys Over Flowers if I’m bored. For movies, I love sports ones, like Rudy, Remember the Titans, The Greatest Game Ever Played, Hoosiers, and Glory Road. I also like movies such as Disturbia, Alvin and the Chipmunks, The Bad Seed, Horton Hears a Who, and Pirates of the Carribbean. Books: Dean Koontz is a genius. I suggest Life Expectancy, Odd Thomas and the other Odd books, Tick Tock, The Taking, Cold Fire, Fear Nothing, and The Husband, all by him. I also love the Harry Potter books, the Inheritance trilogy books so far (Eragon and Eldest), Princess Academy, The Goblin Wood, Inkheart, and a lot of other fantasy books. One book I do not recommend that a lot of other people love: Twilight and the like. It’s just badly written crap with a romance thrown in to try and save it. Resist the temptation, I am ashamed of all the other teen girls who love it.

I also play sports, including tennis, basketball, volleyball, swimming, and I used to run track and cheerlead, but I hated them both. I hated dance too.

• Cliche: I’m a girl but I relate better to men because they’re simple and aren’t hypocrites.  Cut the crud, girl. There are both men and women like that. You can’t discriminate by sex. Duh!
• I hate my body. I’m too skinny! And my boobs are tiny! You don’t want to know how long it takes to find bras that fit.
